Item Assessment of resistance in common bean to Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. phaseoli using different inoculation and evaluation methods(2020) Paulino, Jean Fausto de Carvalho; Almeida, Caléo Panhoca de; Gonçalves, Gabriel de Moraes Cunha; Bueno, César Júnior; Carbonell, Sérgio Augusto Morais; Chiorato, Alisson Fernando; Bechimol-Reis, Luciana LasryAbstract This study aimed to evaluate the resistance of three common bean genotypes (BRS Estilo, A211 and Mortiño) to the Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. phaseoli using different inoculation methods such as the root-dip, the colonized toothpick, and the agar-based disk-diffusion. After 35 days of inoculation, the disease severity was assessed by vascular discoloration on the stem of the plants by two methods: using a scoring scale and measuring the length of the discoloration with the aid of a millimeter ruler (cm). Results showed that the root-dip was the most effective inoculation method. As for the method of assessing the disease severity, the scoring scale was the best one, in addition to being easier for evaluating large amounts of common bean lines.Item IAC 1849 Polaco: carioca common bean cultivar with an early maturity and tolerance to seed darkening(2020) Chiorato, Alisson Fernando; Carbonell, Sérgio Augusto Morais; Bezerra, Luiza Maria Capanema; Esteves, José Antônio de Fátima; Gonçalves, João Guilherme Ribeiro; Silva, Daiana Alves da; Rovaris, Sara Regina Silvestrin; Spitti, Acácia Mecejana Diniz Souza; Benchimol-Reis, Luciana Lasry; Carvalho, Cássia Regina Limonta; Barros, Vera Lúcia Nishijima Paes de; Freitas, Rogério Soares de; Ticelli, Marcelo; Gallo, Paulo BollerAbstract IAC 1849 Polaco is a common bean cultivar with a carioca (beige/cream-colored with brown stripes) seed coat, 75-day mean maturity , semi-upright plant architecture, tolerance to seed darkening, mean 1000-seed weight of 240 grams, resistance to the main diseases in common bean, and mean seed yield of 2464 kg ha-1 obtained in 18 experiments.Item IAC 1850: High yielding carioca common bean cultivar(2019) Carbonell, Sérgio Augusto Morais; Chiorato, Alisson Fernando; Bezerra, Luiza Maria Capanema; Gonçalves, João Guilherme Ribeiro; Silva, Daiana Alves da; Esteves, Jose Antonio de Fatima; Benchimol-Reis, Luciana Lasry; Carvalho, Cassia Regina Limonta; Barros, Vera Lúcia Nishijima Paes de; Freitas, Rogério Soares de; Ticelli, Marcelo; Gallo, Paulo BollerAbstract IAC 1850 is a common bean cultivar with a carioca (beige-colored with brown stripes) seed coat, average cycle of 88 days, semi-upright plant architecture, tolerance to seed coat darkening, 1000 seed weight of 280 grams, resistance to the main diseases in common bean, and a high average yield (2,857 kg ha-1) obtained in 36 experiments conducted in different regions in Brazil.Item IAC Formoso: new carioca common bean cultivar(2010) Carbonell, Sérgio Augusto Morais; Chiorato, Alisson Fernando; Carvalho, Cassia Regina Limonta; Ramos Junior, Edison Ulisses; Ito, Marcio Akira; Borges, Wander Luis Barbosa; Ticelli, Marcelo; Santos, Neli Cristina Belmiro dos; Gallo, Paulo BollerThe MAPA/RNC registered the cultivar IAC Formoso with carioca grain of the Instituto Agronômico IAC, in view of the high mean yield in 24 environments (approximately 2816 kg ha-1), resistance to anthracnose (Colletotrichum lindemuthianum) and Fusarium solani, high grain quality and a cycle of 85 days from emergence to harvest.Item 'IAC IMPERADOR': early maturity "carioca" bean cultivar(2012) Chiorato, Alisson Fernando; Carbonell, Sérgio Augusto Morais; Carvalho, Cassia Regina Limonta; Barros, Vera Lucia Nishijima Paes de; Borges, Wander Luis Barbosa; Ticelli, Marcelo; Gallo, Paulo Boller; Finoto, Everton Luis; Santos, Neli Cristina Belmiro dosIn the state of São Paulo, common bean is an important crop and the Agronomic Institute (Instituto Agronômico - IAC) registered the "carioca" (beige with brown stripes) bean cultivar IAC Imperador in the MAPA/RNC, exhibiting mean yield of 2,266 kg/ha in the 17 environments evaluated, a 75-day cycle, resistance to soil diseases and high quality seeds.Item 'IAC Milênio' - Common bean cultivar with high grain quality(2014) Carbonell, Sérgio Augusto Morais; Chiorato, Alisson Fernando; Bolonhezi, Denizart; Barros, Vera Lúcia N.
